3.1.1 resolves a couple of potential performance issues and a rare hang related to Types without a name, which could also prevent importing in some cases, tweaks the Voucher check printing template to print the Description at the bottom left of each stub, includes the usual assortment of minor interface nudges and adjustments, and one more thing: the return of easy software updates from right inside the application. Yep – you can now update with the click of a button from the update announcement inside CheckBook or CheckBook Pro 3.1.1 and later. No more quitting, downloading the update, opening the download, dragging the application to the Applications folder, and ejecting the disk image, and trashing the download. Click the Install Update button, wait for the download to finish, click the Install and Relaunch button, and you’re done. OK, so that’s technically 2 clicks of a button, but you get the idea. With any luck, this is the last update you’ll need to install by hand. That’s progress folks!
